Great White
I don’t think I’ve mentioned of here yet, but I’m currently hanging out in one of the great cities of the Great White North. That would be Toronto, Canada for those keeping track. At the moment,I’m sitting in the lounge of the Global village backpackers hostel, trying to shake of the beers I drank at the Bovine Sex Club tonight. Links and more detail to come later, since I’m laboriously and un-coordinatedly typing this post on the non-tactile keyboard of an iPod Touch. But let me just say that this city is amazing. Best transit system ever, and I’ve ridden the Tokyo subways. More later…

Thank you for your kind words about Toronto and how you felt it was a “small” place.
The outlying suburbs, are in themselves satellite communities; Mississauga approaching 700,000 Halton Hills (Milton, Georgetown, Halton Hills) projecting 1.0 Million by 2012.
Oakville 400,000. Those are just the west of Toronto nodes with the major centres to the North being Richmond Hill and Markham, east is Scarborough and Pickering similar number to Mississauga.
We do have a great transit system within Toronto but do need some cooperation to integrate the outlying areas with a LRT system, Maybe a trendy and cost effective Mag lev may be in our future.
I hope you enjoy your stay.
