The Big Moment…

So, we’re doing it. Joey and I will take the stage at North Light’s open mic night tomorrow, armed with two guitars and my minidisc player (we’d use my laptop, but it’s in for repairs). we finished working out the electronic elements of our second song yesterday, during a programming marathon of sorts, and are ready to turn these two songs loose. Tomorrow night, Tuesday November 18th at North Light Books and Cafe on East Cotati in Rohnert Park/Cotati. Be there, or be somewhere else.

The Office is my new favorite TV show, but Comcast lied to me about it being on for three hours yesterday. Apparently, it wasn’t. But I was working on music with Joey anyways. Emily and Michelle probably wouldn’t have let me interrupt their Queer Eye marathon anyways. But I’m still bitter about it.

I can’t wait to get my laptop back. I was hoping they’d just replace it, since replacing only the TFT display can be more expensive than a new laptop, as I learned the hard way last time. But I’m just looking forward to reinstalling everything and clearing all the junk of my system. I really want to keep it as stripped down as possible…my main music porgrams, my main graphics programs, broswer, e-mail, FTP, and of course, Starcraft. Maybe a few others that I’m overlooking. But the great thing is, now that I have my new firewire drive, I won’t have to store all my mp3′s and samples and other disk-clogging media on my laptop all the time. No more worrying about filling the disk, at least not for a while.
